Craftsman and wolves - San Francisco

A few weeks ago, I went to the San Francisco carnival with two german girlfriends. After watching it, we were hungry and went looking for a place to eat which didn't have a big line ^^ I don't know what the americans have with their "lines", but as european we were like: "no way we queue up for 30min to eat" ^^ Anyway, one of the girls already went to this place she enjoyed, so we ended up at Craftsman and Wolves (the Valencia street) on a sunday afternoon, with a fair queue, a nice design, and good looking bakeries, even though, please "!", you have to stop it with your "kouign amann" wich are absolutely not ! (this bakery is in every baker'shop here, but if you are a Breton, you may very well have a heart attack, beyond that that, it's one of their top bakeries, they should just rename it).

Craftsman and Wolves is intended to be a modern bakery which owns 3 shops in SF in addition to the famous stand on the market on saturdays morning, which is a must. The chief, William Werner was finalist in 2015 and 2016 of the James Beard "Outstanding baker" award and offers bakeries, bread, cakes, jellies, lunches etc...

Anyway, we decided to have one of those famous kouign amann, a blueberry muffin, a valrhona chocolate brownie and an other one which does not appear on the photos, and we all split up. Verdict : I'm no going to lie to you by saying it was absolutely delightful, but for american bakery, everything was tasty. It may seems disrespectful to say this, but to be honest, when we say that France is the country of the high quality gastronmy, this is not a lie guys...really...I feel our sweet and fat tolerances aswell as the sensitivity of the different tastes are really different. Anyway, I was really glad of this place where I did not have any sweet or fat taste problems. And yes, it was tasty, so if you are swinging by and feeling peckish, do not hesitate to go.

Like in Starbuck, we call you when your beverage is ready. By the way, special mention to the perfect hot chocolate. For the rest, I let you check the quite appetizing card.
